Brenda's Agoraphobia Story

I have had agoraphobia since I was 43 years old. I am now 57 years old. It came on very slowly and it got so bad I couldn't go out at all. I had counseling but it didn't make any difference. Then I was told to try hypnotherapy which I did. Gradually, I was able to go out but not on my own. I still have to have someone with me
but at least I get out life is so different.

Being able to go into a shop, being able to visit family and to do things I thought I would never do again, I have to keep on going out and not fall back to how I was. When I go to the door I just say to myself nothing is going to hurt me and keep saying that to myself when I am actually outside.

Things get better every day seeing that I was a prisoner for six years, things can only get better as time goes on.
